About Us


The Atlantic School of Drapery and Home Design is a 501c3 non profit corporation that features a one-of-a-kind learning experience. Our aim is to encourage creativity, classroom education, hands-on experience and excellence in product manufacturing, sales and design. Our goal is to find jobs for the successful graduate or simply to enhance the skills of the student without regard to sex, race, color or ethnic origin. Certificates of completion are issued upon successful course work. We also offer an apprenticeship program is available to qualified students so you can earn while you learn.

Arlene Malloch
Arlene Malloch, CEO
Arlene has worked as an Interior Designer for over 30 years. As a young woman, she was actively involved with her family's independent chain of stores in the Detroit area, dealing with floor coverings, upholstery and window treatments. Ms. Malloch has studied Graphic & Commercial Arts, along with Interior Design. Her professional experience ranges from commercial and residential custom drapery to teaching and training professionals in the industry. She has owned and operated her Delray Beach showroom and custom workroom since 1984. Her passion for excellence and emphasis on creativity and originality continues to fuel a strong demand for her knowledge and services.

Krista Malloch
Krista Malloch, Interior Designer
Krista is third generation in the family business. After completing her studies and receiving her BA, she has joined the school in the administrative end, as well as teaching her skills and knowledge to appreciative students.

Ted Bross
Ted Bross, School Administrator
Ted has recently joined the school and is an experienced computer technician. He also has 13 years training as a master chef. Ted plays an important role in logistics and technical assistance.

Our Staff
The faculty of active and retired industry professionals - with a combined experience of over 130 years - are ready and eager to share their knowledge, tricks of the trade and experience with interested students.
